Ve getable markets of the port city remain unrestrained for the last one month price with hike of onions , garlicks and zingers. Winter vegetables have also arrived in the market in the meantime. Yesterday (Friday) in the city’s Reajuddin Bazar and Chawkbazar and Kazir Deuri Bazar, known as the elite raw markets, Potato sold was at Tk 45 per kg. Sweet pumpkin 50 taka, bitter gourd 60 taka, , tomato 120 taka, cucumber 60 taka, , patal 80 taka, gourd 50 taka, eggplant 60-70 taka, barbati 60-100 taka, carrot 100 taka, raw Papaya 40 taka, small arum 70-80 taka, cauliflower 70- 80 taka, cabbage 60 taka, radish 60 taka, beans 100-110 taka and green pepper 150 to 200 taka.
On the other hand , fishes like Rui per kg is 150-200 taka, tilapia 130-160 taka, catal 200-250 taka, shrimp(small size) 400-500taka, rupachanda 800 taka, coral 500 taka, laitya 110 taka, pabda 450 taka, koi(local) 450 taka.
Popa is being sold at taka 200- 250 per kg.
In the meat market, mutton is sold at Tk 800, boneless beef at Tk 750 and beef with bones at Tk 600, broiler chicken at Tk 120, layer chicken at Tk 220 and golden chicken at Tk 200 to-220.
