1.86m tonnes of Boro produced in Sylhet division

Sylhet Bureau :With the completion of Boro paddy harvest weeks ago, the DAE has estimated the rice production at 18,68,201 tonnes in Sylhet division this year.An official at the DAE’s Sylhet divisional office said of the total, rice production in Sylhet district has been estimated at 298,393 tonnes while it was 204,400 tonnes in Moulvibazar and 496, 209 tonnes in Habiganj.However, the highest 869,199 tonnes was produced in the district of Sunamganj, which is considered the highest Boro growing area.But,...
