In 1967, legendary singer Kishore Kumar rendered a song titled Ei ki holo, kobe holo, janina, shuru holo, ki je holo janinato in Salil Sen directed movie Rajkumari. Uttam Kumar performed with this song on the screen in that film. Tanuja was his co-actress in Rajkumari. That ‘sad mood’ song became popular among all during that time.
Written by Gauriprasanna Mazumder and music composed by Rahul Dev Barman popular singer-composer Bappa Mazumder again rearranged its music. Mahadi Faisal gave his voice in this song which recording was done last month. Its video has been done at BFDC on December 2.
While sharing his feelings to give his voice in Kishore Kumar’s song Mahadi told this correspondent, “Basically I rendered the song to keep Parthodada’s request. I rendered the song in that way which was instructed by him. I hope listeners will enjoy the song.”
In 2005, music reality show, Close Up 1 contest Mahadi secured the top eighth position. In 2007, his debut album titled Bondhona came into market under Prince Mahmud’s music composition.
