Kiron reelected again in AFC

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) women’s wing chief and FIFA council member Mahfuza Akter Kiron was reelected as an AFC female executive committee member during the 29th AFC Congress held on Saturday Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, according to a message received here from BFF.
At the same time she was also nominated to the FIFA councilor member for the second times as well in the AFC executive committee’s election.
In her immediate reaction, Kiron said: “First of all, I want to thank all my football family members from AFC and FIFA who has gifted me this day and fought for me through my tough times.”
“I want to dedicate this day to our great lady – the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina – a true inspiration of woman empowerment and role model.”
My heartfelt thanks to Honorable AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa for supporting and caring for me like an elder brother, she added.
I also thank my mentor – BFF and SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin who has literally molded me up.”
