The Bhola district administration has seized the wealth of Captain (retd.) Abdul Majed, the convicted killer of
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Burhanuddin upazila on Tuesday.
Sources said, a team led by Burhanuddin upazila AC (land) Monowar and officer-in-charge of Burhanuddin Police station Ratan Khrishno Roy Chowdhury seized a total of 1 acre 35 decimal land on Hospital Road of the upazila headquarters, and put up a signboard on behalf of Government.
Besides, the team also seized a total of 3 acre 16 decimal land of Majed in
Batamara Ward #5 of Boromanika union of the upazila. Mohammad Selim Reza, duputy commissioner of Bhola district said they seized Majed’s property following a court order. Captain Majed, the absconding killer, is now living in Canada.
