An official of Dhaka Tribune was killed as a bus ran over him after hitting his motorcycle on Mayor Hanif Flyover in Jatrabari area on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, 32, senior executive of advertising department of Dhaka Tribune.
Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said that the accident took place around 9:45 am as Nazim fell down from his motorcycle and got injured critically after being hit by the bus, which was overtaking another bus. The injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Later, police arrested the bus driver and helper.
