One young woman was killed in a residential hotel in Chittagong yesterday. The incident of killing occurred at Hotel Arafat in BRTC area under Kotwali thana.
The victim was identified as Josna Begum (22). She was chopped to death inside the hotel Room No.104, police sources said. One Zakir Ahmed hired the hotel room yesterday morning at about 5 am in Hotel Arafat and killed her by chopping brutally. Sources said Zakir is one of the friends of the victim.
Sensing the hue and cry inside the room, hotel staffs immediately informed the police, and police instantly rushed to the hotel and found Josna lying with blood strained in the floor.
Police immediately rounded up Zakir Hossain from the hotel premises. Hotel sources said Zakir hired the hotel room indentifying themselves as husband and wife. A case has been lodged with concerned police station and the body sent to morgue for autopsy.
