Nobojagoron Foundation, a leading voluntary platform of Rajshahi University, distributed new clothes among underprivileged children for the occasion of upcoming Durga puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community.
The distribution ceremony was held at Sayed Ismail Hossain Siraji Bhaban of the university on Sunday.
A total of 60 children were given the clothes during the programme.
RU pro-vice chancellor professor Ananda Kumar Saha attended the function as the chief guest with the organization’s president Khandakar Marjan Atiq in the chair.
Besides, RU student adviser professor Dr. Laila Arjuman Banu, Professor Dr. Sadequl Arefin Matin of Social Work department, Professor Monimul Haq of Statistics department, assistant professor Sadiqul Islam Sagor of Law department and the organisation’s members were also present at the function, among others.
