Soniya Aktar (11), a school girl of class-v who was kidnapped by some one was recovered by the police of Kachua PS from Signboard area under Kachua Upazila in the district on Sunday after long 25 days. None was arrested in this connection.
Police said that Soniya, daughter of one Munsur Durani of village Bisharkhola within Gazalia Union under Kachua Upazila was kidnapped from the village on June 15 by some one. Father Mansur Durani searched hither and thither, but found no trace of her daughter . Finding no other alternative the father lodged a case with Kachua PS on July 08 under Children Trafficking and Women and Children Repression Act of 2000 (case No. 03).
Acting on a secret information, Shamsher Ali, Officer-in-charge of Kachua PS and SI Ananda Prosad raided Signboard area and recovered the girl. At that time they arrested one Deldar Shikdar from there. On the same day the girl was sent to Bagerhat where she gave her statement before the Magistrate U/S 22 of BPC.
