Khulna’s Covid-19 cases reached 23,029, until early Thursday, with seven new infections.
One more patient died from the virus at that time, taking the total fatalities to 408, and the death rate stood at 1.77%.
Of the deceased, 106 were from Khulna, 80 from Kushtia, 48 from Jashore, 36 from Jhenaidah, and Chuadanga, 31 from Satkhira, 26 from Bagerhat, 20 from Narail, 15 from Meherpur, and 13 from Magura.
However, 21,807 patients have so far recovered in the district including 29 new ones in the last 24 hours, and the recovery rate stood at 95%, Divisional Director (Health) Dr Rasheda Sultana said.
