Khulna Titans reached the last four of AKS Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 Cricket defeating Dhaka Dynamites by six wickets in the last league match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
Dhaka Dynamites, Khulna Titans, Chittagong Vikings, Rajshahi Kings took the spot of last four bagging 16,14, 12 and 12 points respectively from their respective 12 matches
Chasing Dhaka’s fighting total of 158 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs, Khulna reached the winning target scoring 159 for the loss of four wickets with remaining 12 balls.
Mahumudullah Riyad, Hasanuzzaman and Benny Howell of Khulna Titans played the key role to chase the winning target.
Mahmudullah hit a splendid 50 from 28 balls featuring five fours and two sixes. He was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Hasanuzzaman hammered a quick-fire 40 off 19 balls including three sixes and three fours.
Benny Howell remained unbeaten with 26. he hit two fours and a sixer in his 16-ball knock.
Ravi Bopara of Dhaka Dynamites begged a pair of wickets instead of 17 runs.
Kumar Sangakkara was the most successful bowler who hit a superb 59. His 41-ball innings was laced with eight fours.
Junaid Khan was the pick of the Khulna bowlers who captured three wickets for 22 runs.
