Khulna, Rangpur four-day NCL match end in draw

Rain played spoil sports in the fourth and final day match as the tier one four-day play between Khulna and Rangpur Divisions of Walton Smart Fridge 19th National Cricket League ended in a tame draw at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Monday.
Khulna Division resumed their second innings on the fourth and final day (Monday) with overnight score at 22 for no loss and scored 141 for the loss of one wicket as rain forced to stop the match.
Later, the match officials decided to call off the last day’s play in the afternoon with opener Mahadi Hasan 88 and Robiul Islam Robi with 29 on the crease.
Tanvir Haider took one for 11 runs.
Earlier, Rangpur Division declared their first innings at 317, in reply to a Khulna Division’s first innings total of 218.
Jahid Javed of Rangpur Division was named the player of the match.
