A delegate meeting of Khulna division Awami League (AL) will be held at the district stadium in Khulna today.
At least 25000 grassroots level leaders and workers, including local parliament members, zila parisad chairmen, municipality mayors, upazila chairmen and president and general secretaries of wards, unions, upazilas, pourasavas, districts and city units AL of Khulna division, are expected to attend the meeting.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will attend the meeting as the chief guest.
Joint secretaries of AL Abdur Rahman, MP and Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, MP, organizing secretary (Khulna Division) Abu Sayeed-AL-Mahmud Swapon, MP, members of central working committee Begum Monnuzan Sufian,MP, S M Kamal Hossain, advocate Md. Amirul Islam Milon and Parveen Zaman Kalpona are expected to attend as special guests .
Presidium member of AL Pejush Kanti Bhattachariya, will preside over the meeting.
Apprising of the overall preparation for ensuring the delegate meeting successful, a press conference was held in the auditorium of Khulna district stadium on Saturday.
Sheikh Helal Uddin, Parliament member of Bagerhat -1 constituency and nephew of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, organizing secretary (Khulna Division) Abu Sayeed-AL-Mahmud Swapon, MP, were present.
