Renowned economist Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad on Saturday laid emphasis on setting up extreme small, small and medium industries for the economic development of country’s remote villages.
“Supply of capital is inevitable for the people of remote villages and that is why at least 70 per cent of the loan being distributed through agent banking should have to be allocated among the people of these villages,” he added.
Qazi Kholiquzzaman was addressing a seminar titled “Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Green Engineering” organized by Entrepreneur Economics Club of Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) on its campus.
