The Qul khwani of Dhaka City Corporation’s former Mayor and BNP Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka was held at Brothers’ Union Playground, Gopibagh in Dhaka after Asr prayer yesterday.
Relatives, members of the public, party leaders and workers, friends and well wishers attended the programe and prayed to Allah for the salvation of the departed soul.

The ex. Minister, Mayor and MP died of cancer in New York on November 4
at the age of 67. He was the Mayor of Dhaka City Corporation from 2002 to 2011.
He was arrested in Dhaka in December 2013 in three cases of arson and was released on bails in February 2014. He went to the United States for treatment after three months.
The validity of his and his wife’s passports expired in 2017, but the Bangladesh Consulate General in New York refused to renew their passports. He was buried besides his parents’ graves in Jurain Graveyard in Dhaka on November 7.
