BNP leader and freedom fighter Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s role in the Liberation War and in politics of Bangladesh was recalled during observing his first death anniversary on Wednesday.
Different organizations commemorated Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s life and work on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Khoka died of cancer in the United States on November 4 in 2019.
Political leaders and family members offered Fatiha Standing by his grave in Jurain graveyard on Wednesday morning.
His close political allies also organized a Doa Mahfil and special prayers on this occasion in the city’s Brothers Union Club premises.
BNP has started a weeklong programme commemorating Khoka including discussion meeting, offering Fateha and postarings.
Sadeque Hossain Khoka Foundation held a discussion on Tuesday to mark his first anniversary of death.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was the chief guest in the programme held virtually.
