Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity defeated Legends of Rupganj by seven wickets in their match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Friday.
Chasing Rupganj’s fighting total of 138 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, Khelaghar reached the winning spot making 139 for the loss of three wickets when they had just three balls to spare.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Khelaghar hit a superb 54. His 45-ball innings was studded with six fours and a sixer.
Jahurul Islam of Khelaghar remained unbeaten with 53. he hit three sixes and three fours in his 44-ball knock.
Earlier, Al-Amin Hossain of Legends of Rupganj notched up 51 from 42 runs featuring six fours, while his teammate Ajmir Ahmed made 28 from 21 balls and Sabbir Rahman scored 23 from 21 balls.
Besides, Jaker Ali remained unbeaten with 19 runs.
Masum Khan of Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity bagged two wickets at the cost of 34 runs, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz took one wicket instead of 20 runs.
