Land is a major source of livelihood and symbol of social status. It provides food security and forms the basis of our social and economic power structure. Khas land is also an important source of livelihood for extremely poor people. It may be a best tool for reducing property by proper distribution.
As Bangladesh is a densely populated country, it is important to establish a well structured khas land management system for good governance of land. Not only the government, it is also the responsibility of people to remove corruption in land management and illegal grabbing of Khas land. We have to raise awareness, accountability, transparency and the attitude of dealing the land property for fair distribution.
