Khalilur Rahman and Liakat Ali Chowdhury have been elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of AIBL Capital Market Servises Limited, a subsidiary company of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd, respectively. They were elected unanimously at its 41st Board Meeting held recently, sais a press release.
Chairman Khalilur Rahman is one of the leading businessmen and Commercially Important Person (CIP) of Bangladesh. He is the Group Chairman of KDS Group, a leading industrial group of the country. In the begining KDS Group was involved in Garments Industries business.Currently they expantions their business in verious sector like Embroidery, Apparels,Textile,Washing, Exesories, Paekaging, Printing, CNG, Steel, Steel accessories, IT, Logistics, Bank and Insurance.
Khalilur Rahman is the President of Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, He is the Director of Pragati Insurance Ltd. and National Bank Ltd, Vice President of Bangladesh Inland Container Depot Association (BICDA). He is also is a sponsor shareholder of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, Social Islami Bank Limited, Northern General Insurance Ltd. and member of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and and International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB).
As an Industrialist, Businessman and Entrepreneur, he achieved a good numbers of awards in different categories. He achieved President Gold Trophy for High Export of Ready Made Garments 9 (nine) times and several other awards from USA, Spain, Canada and UK. He also achieved Golden Awards From Unesco Academic Development Project, Mother Teresa Humanrights Gold Award 2014 By Bangladesh Information & Humanrights Foundation and “Ekushey Padak 2015” From Chittagong City Corporation.
Vice Chairman Liakat Ali Chowdhury is involved in shipp-breaking business. He is the Managing Director of Bangladesh Ship Ltd and OL and M Builders (Pvt.) Ltd. He also is the Managing Partner of Asadi Steel Enterprise and Jamuna Ship Breakers and proprietor of Regal Oxygen. Liakat Ali Chowdhury is founder director of Chittagong Metropoliton Chamber of Commerce & Industries and Southern University Bangladesh.
