In memory of late noted actor of the country’s film industry, Khalilullah Khan who is widely known for his screen name Khalil, his family members have formed a foundation. The newly formed foundation has got its name as Khalilullah Khan Foundation.
Musa Khan, son of actor Khalil, informed The New Nation that the foundation was formed in June this year, which has already been registered in Social Welfare Ministry.
The foundation will start its formal journey from coming December 19 through a programme at the Social Welfare Auditorium in the city’s Khilgaon area.
It may be mentioned that actor Khalil, who died in December last year, was engaged in different social activities in his lifetime. He established a school named School and Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) for the physically challenged children. He ran the school with his utmost sincerity until his death, and after his death, his daughter Ayesha Khanam took the charge to run the school.
Syed Amzad Ali is the president of the foundation, while Ayesha Khan will act as general secretary and Musa Khan as senior vice president of the organisation.
