Today is second death anniversary of legendary actor Khalil. To mark the day, his family and Actors’ Association have taken initiative in this regard. Vice President of Actors’ Association hero Omar Sani told this correspondent, “Khalil Bhai was our guardian in film arena. By his deceased we have lost our guardian. His position cannot be filled up in industry. After Asr prayer a milad mahfil will be held on the premises of BFDC. I request all to attend there.”
Meanwhile, second son of Khalil Musa Khan informed today evening at their residence in the city’s Nurjahan Road a milad mahfil will also be held.
In his career, Khalil acted in more than 800 movies. He got the National Film Award for single time many years ago. He got the award for movie Gunda directed by Alamgir Kabir and produced by actress Kobori. Khalil was born in Sylhet on February 1, 1932. He started his career in acting through Kalim Sharafi and Zahir Raihan directed movie Shonar Kajol. After this movie, he acted in role of hero in movies Bhawal Sonyashi, Preet Na Janey Reet, Kajol, Jongli Phul, Sangam, etc. In SM Parvez directed movie Begana, he first acted in role of anti-hero.
