“She is seriously ill. The medicines prescribed by the government formed medical team do not in work. As a result her illness is increasing day by day,” said Mirza Fakhrul after visiting the BNP chief in the abandoned central jail of the city.
He warned the government that it would remain liable at home and abroad for the deteriorating health condition of her.
He said the BNP chairperson asked the people to continue movement against the government for democracy.
The former Prime Minister has urged the countrymen to pray for her early recovery.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Members Mirza Abbas and Nazrul Islam Khan met Khaleda Zia in her cell for more than an hour in after noon.

If such condition continues, she may be paralised, lament her physicians.”
Mirza Fakhrul called for admitting Khaleda Zia to United Hospital, saying it is the responsibility of the government.
Replying to a query, the BNP leader said we are talking to the former minister all about her health. The environment of the old jail where she has been kept is not helpful for recovery from any kind of disease.

The personal physicians of Khaleda Zia expressed anxiety saying she might be ‘crippled’, ‘paralysed’ and ‘blind’ if she is not immediately given better treatment in any specialised hospital.
Khaleda Zia’s personal physician, Neuromedicine Specialist Dr. Wahedur Rahman said, “Her spinal cods in waist are damaging and her shoulder bones were decaying which is pushing her to be ‘crippled’, ‘paralysed’.
