President Abdul Hamid has invited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to attend a reception ceremony to be hosted by him at Bangabhaban on the occasion of the Independence Day on March 26. The invitation card was handed over by Bangabhaban official Rafiqul Islam to Shamsuddin Didar, BNP’s media wing member, at the Khaleda’s political office in Gulshan. In the letter, the President has requested her to join the reception to be held on Thursday.
Besides, the President has requested Prime Minister, speaker of the Parliament, Chief Justice of the Supreme court, cabinet members, advisers to the prime minister, state ministers, diplomats, senior lawyers, supreme court judges, election commissioners, cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services, members of the parliament, senior political leaders, national professors, editors, senior civil and military officers, academics, business community leaders, senior journalists, religious leaders, artistes and distinguished citizens of the country.
