BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy on Saturday said their party Chairperson Khaleda Zia would not compromise with the government for her release on bail or on parole.
“She will surely be released on bail as it is her right to get it,” he said.
Gayeshwar said this during a protest meeting arranged by central committee of Zia Shisu-Kishor Mela at Jatiya Press Club for voicing for the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
He said, the government will not be able to keep Khaleda in jail for a long time. Verily popular movement is ahead.
Gayeshwar said, “With respect to democracy, we like to say that Khaleda Zia has sense of responsibility, and these will free her from jail.
“All the democratic political parties must be united to ‘restore democracy in the country and force the government to free Khaleda Zia from jail,” he added.
The BNP leader accuses the Awami League government of planting corruption.
BNP Joint Secretary General Advocate Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal was present in the meeting, president at by Jahangir Shikder, President of the organizing organization.
