UNB, Dhaka :
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has put barbed wire fencing over the boundary wall of her Gulshan office to escape public wraths.
“She (Khaleda) is doing this just to save herself from the wraths of people,” Hasina said while responding to a supplementary question from Opposition Chief Whip M Tajul Islam Chowdhury during her question-answer session in Parliament.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the country’s people are getting angry with Khaleda Zia for her misdeeds. “It was never seen in the past that people are very much angry with a leader whose party isn’t in power or Parliament. This is unprecedented,” she said.
Hasina said the BNP chief is making her safe fearing that people might attack her.
“What’s the reason? …she’s committing hooliganism… militant acts. She’ s nothing but the leader of militants. She’s not the people’s leader…. She’s just the leader of militants,” the Prime Minister said.
She also termed Khaleda Zia a killer and the mother of Bangla Bhai.
“She’s the creator of Bangla Bhai,” she said.
Hasina also said BNP-Jamaat has no right to do politics in the country as they wanted to create a reign of terror. “They wanted to finish people… they wanted to destroy the lives and property of people. This is not politics… this is hooliganism and militancy.”
Replying to a question about banning BNP-Jamaat, the Prime Minister said they will be banned naturally if people want so.
