UNB, Dhaka :BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday evening visited the residence of veteran journalist ABM Musa who passed away at noon.Shamsuddin Didar, BNP Media Wing member, told UNB that Khaleda Zia went to Musa’s Iqbal Road residence in Mohammadpur around 7:30pm and stayed there for half an hour.BNP chairperson consoled the bereaved family members of the prominent journalist and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.ABM Musa, a close aide of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, passed away at a city hospital on Wednesday noon at the age of 83.Family sources said Musa, who had been receiving treatment at Labaid Hospital for old-age complications since January this year, breathed his last at about 1:15 pm.The renowned journalist had been on life support at the hospital since Monday night.ABM Musa left behind his wife, three daughters, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
