BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday said with optimism that the party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would guide the BNP to victory in the next general election.
“The BNP is determined to stay in the election field. Watching our popularity and determination, they (Awami League) were again hatching conspiracy to hold again January 5, 2014 like general election,” said Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.
This he said to counter the ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader’s Friday version that the BNP would step aside from the next general election.
Adds Rizvi, “The people of the country will not endorse a farce election for the 2nd time sans BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her party,” he said.
The BNP leader also said firmly that Khaleda Zia would lead BNP in the next Parliament election.
Rizvi said, adding that people would not allow any election under Sheikh Hasina in the country.
