UNB, Kushtia :
Terming the BNP allegation a figment of imagination, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Saturday said the government is not harassing the party like BNP, but trying to strongly deal with the acts of sabotage and militancy being carried out in the name of politics.
Talking to reporters after inaugurating a digital classroom at Amla Government College at Mirpur in Kushtia, he said BNP chief Khaleda Zia has relentlessly been engaged in staging a drama with democracy and the 1971 war criminals.
“After witnessing her drama, I’ll at least say the word ‘democracy’ doesn’t
suit her mouth as she is wearing the hijab of Jamaat-Hefajat,” he said.
Inu, also the president of JSD, further said, “She (Khaleda) is trying to become an angel of democracy, but it’s not possible for her to be that doing politics with communal forces.”
“It’ll be better for the country as well as democracy if Khaleda Zia stops staging drama over democracy by taking Jamaat, Hefajat and tamarind huzur beside her,” he added.
