Staff Reporter :BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia spent her fifth day of confinement in her Gulshan office in the city on Wednesday. She was still in the office till filing the report at about 10:00 PM. Police has cordoned off the office since Saturday night and did not allow the BNP chief to come out of the office. Sources said that Khaleda Zia is thinking of withdrawing or relaxing the ongoing indefinite road-train-waterway blockade due to the Biswa Ijtema, the second largest Muslim congregation.A BNP leader said that Khaleda Zia has considered the Ijtema issue with a great importance. The decision in this regard will be disclosed shortly. The BNP-led alliance will announce of holding another rally in the city before the announcement of withdrawing or relaxing the ongoing blockade. The alliance will go for indefinite blockade again if it fails to hold the planned rally again, he added.
