BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday paid tributes to martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Khaleda Zia placed wreaths at 10:20am to pay her homage to the great heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the country and the nation.

Earlier on Sunday, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia issued a message on the occasion, conveying her sympathy to the family members of the intellectuals martyred on December 14, 1971. She called upon all to get united from their respective positions to make the country stronger, prosperous and self-reliant, and consolidate democracy.
