Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday said that the ailing party chairperson Khaleda Zia needed oxygen support as she had been suffering from breathing complications. He made the disclosure while addressing a virtual meeting organised by Bangladesh Jatyatabadi Sramik Dal.
He said that the condition of the former prime minister was still stable and she had been taking oxygen support at the Coronary Care Unit at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
He, however, said that the party did not file any application to the government for getting permission to send Khaleda abroad for treatment.
