Staff Reporter :BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has left Dhaka for London on Monday night by a flight of Emirates Airlines for treatment of her eyes. She will return home after Eid-ul-Azha. Her younger brother Shamim Eskander, sister-in-law Kaniz Fatema, Personal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and maid Fatema Akhter are accompanying her in the tour.Khaleda Zia’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan said that the BNP Chairperson left for London for a medical checkup and she would return home after observing Eid with her son Tarique Rahman and other family members. Khaleda Zia’s late son Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife and her two offspring have already reached London. Maruf Kamal Khan also said that appointments for Khaleda Zia’s eye treatment and checkup had already been fixed.Earlier on Sunday, Khaleda Zia sat with the senior leaders of her party to discuss her London visit, the country’s latest political situation and party’s next course of action after the Eid-ul-Azha. At the meeting, she urged the party leaders to speed up formation of grassroots-level committees.
