Khaleda mourns

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday also expressed profound shock at the death of Abdul Matin.
In a condolence message, the BNP chief said the nation has lost a true guardian during the country’s critical time at his death. “Since his student life to death, he was steadfast like a hill in favour of the country’s interests and its people.”
Mentioning that Matin was always vocal against unjust, she said, “No autocratic regime could gag his voice against all forms of brutality and exploitation.”
Recalling his outstanding contributions to the 1952
Language Movement, Khaleda, also a former Prime Minister, said Matin’s name will be there written in the Langue Movement history forever in glittering words.
She conveyed her sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
