Staff Reporter :BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia may go to the court today (Sunday) to seek bail in Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases.Her counsel Advocate Sanaullah Miah on Saturday told the media, the BNP chief respects law. That is why, she will go to the Special Judge’s Court-3 set up on the Alia Madrasha premises in the city. She will pray for bail in the two cases after appearing in the court. It is not, however, clear whether Khaleda Zia will return to her Gulshan office from the court, or will go direct to her residence. She has been staying in her office since January 3 and never came out of it since then despite the death of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko. Khaleda Zia is facing arrest warrant in two graft cases. She did not go to the court on March 4 citing security concern. On February 25, the court issued the arrest warrant against her and two other accused revoking the bail, as they had skipped hearings on several occasions.Earlier, Khaleda Zia’s car was attacked on December 24 last year when she went to the makeshift court.Recording of witness in the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases are scheduled for today.Meanwhile, Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan is scheduled to hold a road march programme today (Sunday) demanding the arrest of Khaleda Zia. The Minister on Friday announced the programme under the banner of ‘Sramik-Kormochari-Peshajibi-Muktijoddha Somonnoy Parishad’. The road march will start at 3.00pm from Manik Mia Avenue and it will end at Suhrawardy Udyan.
