BNP Standing Committee Member Barrister Moudud Ahmed on Thursday said that the party’s imprisoned Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has instructed them to oust the government through democratic agitation.
“Our chairperson has instructed us to create national unity and wage tough movement to remove the anti-people government soon,” he said while addressing a discussion at Moulana Bhasani auditorium at Nayapaltan in the city.
Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal organized the programme marking the second death anniversary of BNP standing committee member ASM Hannan Shah.

The senior BNP leader said, “I think that the party leaders and activists should be informed of the Khaleda Zia’s message.”
“The first message of our chairperson is to take steps for waging movement to remove the government creating national unity. Khaleda Zia had called for forging national unity before going to jail,” he said.
Moudud Ahmed said that his party is now in a process of forging national unity. He claimed that they would be able to realise their demands from the government by taking to street along with people.
“The government will be forced to sit in a dialogue with the BNP and other opposition parties. Because, there is no alternative to dialogue,” he said.
The BNP leader said, “If the government thinks to hold another one sided national election like January 5, 2014, that will be a day dream. This will never be possible in Bangladesh.”
He said that the BNP would take part in the next polls only after freeing Khaleda Zia from jail.
Presided over by Mahila Dal President Afroza Abbas, the discussion was addressed, among others, by General Secretary Sultana Ahmed and Organising Secretary Helen Zerin Khan.

“The Prime Minister is delivering false statement abroad over the next polls. She told the leaders of UK and other countries that her government is arranging next polls aiming to participation of all political parties. But so far we have seen she is arranging only a one-sided poll again. But it will not be possible in Bangladesh again,” Rizvi told the briefing.
Rizvi said, on Wednesday seven false cases were filed against 1,440 BNP leaders and activists across the country.
