Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam alleged that BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has again been hatching conspiracy to install communal forces in power.”Begum Zia has proposed abolition of RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) for the Narayanganj incident. Through her proposition, she has proved that they are in favour of installing communal forces in power,” he said this on Tuesday while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.Awami Hawkers’ League organised the discussion on “No alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for welfare of the country and its people against the backdrop of current politics” at the Conference Lounge of the National Press Club in the city. President of the Awami Hawkers’ League SM Zakaria Hanif chaired the discussion, also addressed, among others, by Dhaka City Awami League organising secretary Shahe Alam Murad, Krishak League vice-president MA Karim, general secretary of the organisation Md Zahid Ali and joint general secretary Kamal Hossain.Turning to Khaleda Zia’s Narayanganj visit, Quamrul Islam said, “Begum Zia paid a visit to Narayanganj on Tuesday, 17 days after the incident. I am afraid whether she causes spreading of fresh violence there.” The Joint general secretary of Dhaka City Awami League called upon Begum Zia not to do dirty politics over the Narayanganj killing incident.Quamrul Islam said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has, by this time, taken adequate steps for the trial of the killers of the Narayanganj incident. The real culprits would be identified and tried soon.”The Minister said the present government would not go for investigation into the killing on someone’s dictates and stage ‘Jodge Miah drama’ what the previous government did. The Awami League leader said, “A vested quarter has been trying to create anarchy in the country at a time when Bangladesh has been governed peacefully under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They have no public support, neither they have organisational strength to throw any programme. They unleash terrorism hiring terrorists in their bid to usurp power by creating unrest in the country again.”
