The BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday greeted ruling Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by sending a card on the occasion of the Bengali New Year 1423.
The BNP Chairperson has greeted her (Sheikh Hasina) by sending a card. A BNP delegation led by the party’s Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Abul Khaiyer Bhuiyan handed the card to the Awami League president’s Dhanmondi office.
The other members of the delegations were the BNP’s, Joint-Office Secretaries Abdul Latif Jony, Asadul Karim Shaheen and Mohila Dal General Secretary Shirin Sultana.
”We handed over the greeting card signed by our party Chairperson Khaleda Zia to the Awami League chief’s office. The Awami League office secretary Abdus Subhan Golap received the card,” said Abdul Latif Jony.
Besides, the leaders also handed over another greeting card for the ruling party General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on the occasion.
Though the two top leaders (Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia) avoid to meet each other face to face, they usually exchange greetings on such occasions and the two Eids.
