Staff Reporter :BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has reiterated her demand for fresh parliamentary election under a non-party government system. She made the demand at a view-exchange meeting with the lawyers of Brammanbaria Ainjibi Samity at her Gulshan office in the city on Saturday evening.”A fresh election is needed for the sake of democracy. It is not necessary that the election must be held under the caretaker government system. The fresh election will have to be arranged under a non-party government system. No election will be free and fair under the Awami League government. It has been proved in the last election,” said the BNP chief. She said that the countrymen are annoyed with the government for its misrule and misdeeds. They want a fresh election to elect a people-friendly government. So, so the government has to accept the demand of the people today or tomorrow, she said.
