Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif on Wednesday said no convicted corrupt person could be freed by waging a movement.
“BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia may be freed through the legal procedures. Otherwise, she can seek mercy to the honourable President. But the people of the country will not wage any movement to free her from jail,” he said, speaking at the inaugural session of a five-day training of Imams at Islamic Foundation in city’s Agargaon.
