UNB, Dhaka :BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and 13 leaders and activists of the party have been sued in connection with Monday’s crude bomb blasts at a procession led by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan in the city’s Gulshan area that left five people injured.Ismail Bachchu, general secretary of Dhaka district unit Sramik League, filed the case with Gulshan Police Station Monday night, said Firoz, inspector (investigation) of Gulshan Police Station.According to the case statement, BNP Chief Khaleda Zia has been sued as an instigator of the attack.BNP senior vice chairman Selima Rahman, M Hafizuddin Ahmed, BNP chairperson’s adviser Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, Khaleda Zia’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan and her special assistant Shimul Biswas were among the accused.Five people were injured as miscreants tossed five crude bombs at a procession of workers and freedom fighters led by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan in the Gulshan area on Monday afternoon.However, Shajahan Khan escaped unhurt.
