UNB, Dhaka :BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia goes to Kishoreganj today (Wednesday) to address her party-led 20-party alliance’s public rally aimed at drumming up public support in favour oftheir demand for snap polls under a non-party administration. The BNP chairperson will leave her Gulshan residence for Kishoreganj around 10:30am, her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB.She will reach Kishoreganj Circuit House via Gulistan -Jatrabari-Kanchpur Bridge-Rupganj-Narsingdi-Bhoirab roads. Khaleda will later address the rally at Gurudayal Govt College ground in the afternoon.The local unit of the 20-party alliance is organising the rally as part of its countrywide mass campaign to create a solid ground for a decisive movement to force the current administration to quit and arrange a fresh inclusive election.BNP chairperson’s adviser Dr Osman Farroque, also the coordinator of the rally, said they have completed all the necessary preparations for making the rally a success with the participation of lakhs of people.He sought cooperation from the local administration, law enforcers and people from all walks of life in holding the rally successfully.Meanwhile, there has been huge enthusiasm among the residents of Kishoreganj and its adjoining districts over the rally, as Khaleda is going to the district nearly eight years back, party leaders said.They said, the Kishoreganj town wore a festive look as its central points have been decorated with colourful banners, posters, festoons and placards, local BNP leaders said. Several hundred arches have also been erected on different roads to welcome the BNP chairperson.This will be Khaleda’s 8th district tour after the January-5 election boycotted by the BNP-led opposition alliance.Earlier, Khaleda went to Rajbari on March 1, Munshiganj on May 28, Joypurhat on June 22, Brahmanbaria on September 23, Jamalpur on September 27, Nilphamari October 23 and Natore on November 1 and addressed public rallies there.
