Darussalam Police Station in the capital on Sunday submitted two charge sheets in the court against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and 50 other leaders and activists of the BNP-led 20-party alliance in two arson attack cases filed with the police station in January and March, 2014 under the Special Powers Act.
In both the cases, Khaleda Zia has been shown as mastermind, although her name was not mentioned in the First
Information Reports (FIRs) of the cases.
The cases were filed with Darussalam Police Station accusing 51 leaders and activists of BNP-led 20-party alliance for arson attacks on passenger bus during the alliance’s nonstop anti-government movement. The police so far made Khaleda Zia the mastermind in six such cases.
