Sylhet Girls College student Khadiza Akhter Nargis will undergo a surgery in the left hand in city’s Square Hospital today (Monday) .
Citing doctors, Nargis’s elder brother Shahin Ahmed confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Sunday (November 6).
He said doctors decided to conduct surgery on her left hand alongside on the right side of her head on Monday. This operation will be very crucial for Nargis.
He further said she is getting better gradually and will be cure soon if the upcoming surgeries become successful. Her father also echoed the condition to Banglanews. “She is speaking a few words now and then, however, needs more time to recover.” Earlier on October 4, the first surgery was conducted on Nargis’s head and later on her right hand on October 17.
Earlier on October 3, Khadiza Akhtar Nargis was severely hacked by a Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Chhatra League leader Badrul Alamm. Video footage of that incident went viral on internet and created national outcry.
