Gas connections of the 55 consumers consists of 262 gas oven and two commercial line snapped by the vigilance team of the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution company Ltd in city from on 01-02-17 to 10-02-2017.
The vigilance team led by Manager Engineer Hasan Sohrab enforced disconnection of gas line from 10 am to 4 pm everyday in Jalalabad, Baized, Sulakbahar, Chalk Bazar and South Aman Bazar Area of the City.
Beside the domestic cum authorised consumers used Illegal instrument like high power rotary woven in South Aman Bazar in Hathazari Area and disconnected two Commercial connection M/s Holy food products and Café raj in frigi Bazar area. They using gas beyond their approval by installing additionalequipment’s. Sources said that departmental case against the defaulters including penalty and regular case will be lodged under Gas Consumption Act-2010 .
