Gas connections of the 55 consumers consists of 120 gas oven and two industrial line snapped by the vigilance team of the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution company Ltd in city on Tuesday .
The vigilance team led by Manager Engr. Hasan Sohrab Hasan enforced disconnection of gas line from 10 am to 4 pm on Tuesday in Bibirhat, Mohra, Romghata, Baluardighir par, Lalkhan bazaar, West Nasirabad, Solasahar No2 gate, Chowkbazar areas .
Beside the domestic consumers, two industrial connections ofKDS Ltd and M/s.Gousia Bakery & Groceries also snapped for using gas beyond their approval by installing additional equipments. Sources said departmental case against the defaulters including penalty will be lodged under Gas Consumption Act-2010.
