The drives of the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Ltd was launched against the defaulters for realising arrear gas bills and illegal connections in the port city recently.
As a routine work of the campaign a KGDCL team headed by Project Director Engr. Kaiyez Ahmed Majumder conducted raid at Maijjertek area under Karnaphuli Thana from 9 am to 11 am and disconnected gas connection of Kamal Brothers CNG Ltd for alleged unpaid arrear gas bills on Tuesday . Manager (Sale) Engr. Tajuddin Dali and Manager(Vigilance) Engr. Hasan Sohrab alongwith other senior officials were present during the drive. Besides, KGDCL team disconnected 3 domesstic gas connections of Noor Mohammad Sowdagar in Kalamiah Bazar area under Bakalia thana on Monday last allegedly accused for illegal use of gas.
Sources said departmental case will be lodged against the misuse of gas and realization of outstanding gas bill against them under Gas Act
