Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) will install 60 thousand highly techno device prepaid gas meter in residential connections of the port city.
In this connection of installing the prepaid gas meter, a deal in between KGDCL and Toyokeiki Co Ltd of Japan signed at Petrobangla conference room in Dhaka on Tuesday last. Sources said that govt took initiatives to install prepaid meter which start from 1st July 2014 and will complete by 30th june 2018 with estimated cost of Tk.246.56 crores.
In preliminary phase of the installaltions Sholoshahor,Nasirabad,Khulshi,Chadgaon ,Chalkbazar ,Andorkilla, LalkhanBazar, Kazir Dewri, Panchalish and Halishahar area are primarily selected areas for the purpose. It is mentioned here that Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company was established in 2010, a KGDCL sources said.
