The vigilance activities of the Karanaphuli Gas Distribution Company Ltd against the illegal use of pipeline gas have been continuing in the port city .
As a part of their vigilance activities , a drive was conducted at Tiger Pass area adjacent to Mama Bhagne Mazer in Hotel Niribili on Tuesday .
The drive continued from 11.30 Pm . the Executive Magistrate ordered to disconnect Dia-frame G4 Meter, sources said. During the drive, gas connections in this hotel have been disconnected for alleged use of gas beyond the approved plan. Besides, a mobile team of the KGDCL was conducted in the Area caught red handed two worker Mozammel Hoque and Abdul Gofur was imposed three Month jail and fined the user according to the gas Rules 2010.
The vigilance team led by Executive Magistrate of district Administration Md. Forkan Elahi Anupam and KGDCL Vigilance team Manager Engr. Hasan Sohorab duly accompanied by the officials of disconnection squad and law enforcing members, sources added.
