Two decades ago, Sabrina Sultana Keya started her journey with acting successfully in Dhallywood. Keya debuted her career as a heroine against Amin Khan and Riaz in Montazur Rahman Akbar directed movie Kothin Bastob, which was released on March 7 in 2001. She won the hearts of many film-lovers by this movie. Later, Keya also acted in many viewers’ choice popular movies like Mohabbat Jindabad, Bhalobasar Shotru, Nosto, Sahosi Manush Chai, Palta Akromon, Rajdhanir Raza, Rongbaz Badshah, Tumi Shudhu Aamar, Tumi Ki Sei, Ayna Kahini, Ajker Rupban, Black Money, among others. According to Keya, she is now engaged with acting in Rakibul Alam Rakib’s movies Yes Madam and Shimana and Shahin Sumon’s Bonolata. Due to corona pandemic, shooting of these movies remain stalled now. But shooting will start soon, the actress mentioned.
While talking about crossing two decades of acting cateer in movies Keya said, “When I see I have already passed two decades of my acting career in the film industry I really feel thrill. I can remember those days when I came to Dhaka from Jashore. Then after taking necessary preparation, I went to Thailand for taking part in shooting for movie Kothin Bastob. It seems like few days ago to me. During that time I was studying in Class-V or VI only. To come into present position, I am really grateful to noted storywriter Abdullah Zahir Babu. I am also grateful to producer of movie Kothin Bastob fighter Arman Bhai. I have gratitude to director of my first acted movie Montazur Rahman Akbar Sir and dance director Yousuf Ahmed Khan Bhai. In this movie, I got the opportunity to work with Razzak Sir, Amin Bhai, Riaz Bhai and Dipjol Bhai for the first time. I was grateful to full unit of Kothin Bastob. Later, I am grateful to respected producer Forman Bhai because he created a space for me to act in the big screen and also created a path for me in the movie. I am also grateful to Motin Rahman Sir, Mohammad Hannan Sir, Ahmed Nasir Sir, among others. I give thanks to heroes of my acted all movies. I give also thanks to journalist Dewan Habib Bhai by whom I for the first time got the scope to perform as a model in a TVC of Jasmine. Due to death of my brother Royel in 2004, I was irregular in acting for some days.”
In the small screen, Keya first acted against Bapparaz in Mohammad Hannan directed a telefilm titled Akash Chhowa Swapno.
