A minor boy who sustained burn injuries in a fire incident at Ekoria Tila Bari in South Keraniganj area of Dhaka district on Friday died at the burn and plastic surgery nit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Gani, 5, son of Ripon, a resident of the area. Inspector Mojammel Hossain, in-charge of DMCH police camp, confirmed this.
Earlier, on early Friday, five members of his family, including Gani sustained burn injuries when a fire
broke out at a house at Ekoria Tila Bari in South Keraniganj area of Dhaka district. Hearing hue and cry, local people rushed in and rescued the victims. Later they were rushed to the burn unit of DMCH with severe burn injuries.
